Working With Frostbite

 

Without a doubt the most frequent line of questioning I receive revolves around Frostbite.  Where to get it and how to use it?   

 

Frostbite is essentially a woven knotted Flashabou like material that is dispensed on cards or spools in the same manner as fly tying thread.  When it comes to chironomid pupa and larva patterns Frostbite is a preferred material.  My book, Fly Patterns for Stillwaters Midge Braid is a prominent component for my Frostbite Bloodworm, Pearl Pupa and the Collaborator.
